Sony A7S Mark III is finally here the video focused Gem

In the world of new 8K and 12K cameras, Sony decided to go for the trusted but very high quality 4K and is betting that the world isn't there yet for 8K and 12K, which I somewhat agree but higher resolutions have their own advantages. But to be honest 4K is now slowly becoming the standard even though 80% of content is still being consumed on small screens in Full HD or less resolutions.

4K camera with impressive video specs and a much needed new user interface . It can capture 4K footage at up to 120p in 10-bit 4:2:2 encoding and 16-bit Raw video output. It has no record limit in some settings I think and an impressive HDR as per the initial usage by some trusted reviewers . It looks convincingly a very good 4K Video Camera. Some say it can even come close to Sony's FX9.

Whatever I feel it will sell a lot as it has all the improvements that Sony users were asking for previously like a very good fast auto focus, better UI and ergonomics, No Crop 4K and this has that up to 120Fps and It can also shoot 1080P at up to 240Fps which is like an icing on the cake for any Filmmaker.

This camera will be very popular with filmmakers even at $3499 price point.

Cheers !
